Tamara Gonzales (Born: 1959 in Madera, Calefornia. Lives and works in Brooklyn, NY).
In Gonzales work pop cuture and mythology meet each other. Many of her works may seem a bit morbid- but also quite funny. She is a great fan of using mixed media which allows her to use different kinds of materials, but also a freedom to adress worlds events in many ways. The artist is very influenced by the culture in Mexico where she has spent some time- specially during the Day of the Dead festivities. She is also inspired from time spent in India.
